Live Online Training Installer A
Advanced training for crew leaders responsible for installation sign‑off and system handover
This live online course is designed for installers who lead crews and take responsibility for the completion, verification, and handover of Road Safety Barrier Systems (RSBS). It builds on the Operative qualification and prepares learners for the next stage of the ASHTAS pathway.
After completing this module, the knowledge assessment, and the generic components of your eLogbook, you will then complete the Installer B units for the specific systems you work with to become a fully accredited Installer.
Entry Requirements
To enrol in this course, you must:
- Have completed the ASHTAS Operative course
- Hold a valid Operative eCard
- Have access to the Microsoft Teams app on a computer
- Be able to share your camera and audio to participate in group activities
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this module, you will be able to:
- Understand the general requirements for the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of RSBS
- Demonstrate knowledge of Installer responsibilities within the ASHTAS Training Framework
- Use the ASHTAS eLogbook to gather evidence toward your Installer qualification

Knowledge Assessment

- Learners must attend the full duration of the course
- The knowledge assessment must be booked and completed within 1 week of the course
- Failure to attend the full course or complete the assessment may result in a rebooking fee
