Terms and Conditions for Registration of Training

Terms used in these terms and conditions:
  • ‘Service’, ‘Services’ means any service that is provided by Roading Industry Support Services  Ltd.
  • ‘We’ and ‘Us’ and ‘Our’ means Roading Industry Support Services Ltd.
  • ‘You’ and ‘Your’ means a Customer; 
  • ‘Website’ means the Roading Industry Support Services website at www.riss.co.nz;
  • ‘Customer’, ‘Customers’ includes any person registering for a service from Roading Industry Support Services Ltd

Changes to the Terms and Conditions: We reserve the right t update these Terms and Conditions from time to time and if we do, we will record the date on this document. 

Payment Conditions and Cancelations:

  • Payment of course registrations is due within 7 days of booking or 2 days prior to course starting if booked within 7 days of course date.
  • Unless prior approval is given by management if payment is not made prior to 7 days of course starting the booked attendee will be advised of the cancelation of their booking.
  • If the booking is cancelled 5 days prior to the course starting  a free transfer to another course will be offered or a Full Refund minus a $25 booking Fee.
  • Canceling the booking between 5 and 3 days before course starts will be provided a 50% refund or can be rebooked for a cancelation and rebooking fee for a later course for $75.
  • If an On Account customer has an agreement in place for payment in full on the 20th of the following month following the invoice for a workshop Roading Industry Support Services reserves the right to charge the customer interest of 5% per month on all overdue amounts at the discretion of Roading Industry Support Services.  The Customer agrees to pay Roading Industry Support Services agency collection fees associated with the collection of any unpaid debt.

Failure to attend training: Failure to attend a course will result in a ‘No Show’ attendance status. All ‘No Shows’ will be charged 100% cancellation/reschedule fee. 

Late Student Arrival: Within 20 minutes of scheduled start time: Student may remain on course only at the trainer’s discretion. Over 20 minutes of scheduled start time: Student may not attend the course. Should it be necessary for the student to return to complete the course at a later date due to late arrival issues, Roading Industry Support Services reserves the right to pass on any associated costs to the student or their employer. 

Failure to pass course Test: If the student fails to pass the test there is a 21 day standdown before a resit can take place for ASHTAS learning. The resit is at the cost of the student or their employer. 

We will make every effort to ensure the registered student has course prerequisites but will ultimately be the learner’s responsibility to confirm these are held prior to attending the workshops. 

Prices and Additional Fees are published on the Website for each workshop and are subject to change without notice unless you have an agreement with us stating otherwise. All charges will be advised at the time of booking.
