TTM Worker
Who is it for?
If you work in TTM this is the first course you will need to complete. As a TTM Worker this will give you the general knowledge of TTM skills and the roles and responsibilities when working in the TTM industry.


What's involved
The course is broken into two sections. The first is a theory workshop that will teach the knowledge of:
- No go zones (including safety zones)
- Manual handling/lifting of TTM equipment
- Using a Stop/Go paddle
- Using radio communications
- Set out TTM equipment
- The role of a ‘spotter’
- Interaction with people (good/bad practices and dealing with conflict)
Following the theory workshop the candidate will do on job practical learning. This can be completed here at our training facility or in your workplace. Once practice has been completed the candidate will be assessed in the following areas
- Handling equipment
- communication on a radio
- working on a TTM equipment vehicle
- Using a Stop/Go paddle
Outcomes
Following completing the theory learning the unit standard 31958 : Explain the role of and operate as a TTM worker on the worksite under temporary traffic management will be awarded
Following completion of the practical learning the unit standard 31957 : Demonstrate knowledge of working safely as a general worker on a worksite under temporary traffic management will be awarded
