Who is it for?

The Site Traffic Management Supervisor is the person who supervisors the setup, change and remove the worksite. They manage the worksite when it is both active and unattended.  

The STMS qualification is required for the following roles:

  • Traffic Management Plan Designer
  • Auditor
  • TMC
  • Traffic Management Plan Approver

What's involved

The course is a 2 day theory course first time and every 3 years a 1 day refresher workshop. The workshop that will teach the candidate knowledge of:
  • Roles and responsibilities of STMS 
  • Able to correctly complete the paper work associated with role of STMS
  • Risk identification and manage incidents
  • Understanding how to implementation of the TMP

Outcomes

Following completion of the theory learning the STMS Warrant from NZTA will be issued. This will enable the candidate to start practical learning from a mentor to further develop skills in the workplace
